1. The Team Fights Against The Soviet Union
"The Season 2 premiere offers up what is by far the most spectacular action sequence of the series thus far showing off the team's individually unique powers in a war to stop a Soviet invasion. The war torn small town backdrop aligned with the cinematic presentation of each member of the team unleashing their abilities to take out enemy soldiers was truly a visually epic set piece to take in."

1. Rick Wakes Up & Explores The New World
“Taking notes from the classic post apocalyptic zombie world introduction scenes in films such as 28 Days Later, this scene worked perfectly here introducing audiences to our protagonist as well as the horrific world that awaited us"
2. Rick & Glenn Attempts Walking Through A Herd
“One of the rare moments where comedy is perfectly blended in with an intense situation. It's funny seeing Glenn impersonate a walker after one gets too close to him though the scene transitions to a heart racing chase for survival once the rain begins washing away their disguise.”
Season 2
3. The Gang Hides Through A Passing Herd
“One of the greatest zombie scenes on the show as it perfectly showcases the true terror of living in a world where herds of the undead exists. Not only was it intense seeing everyone hide beneath cars for safety, but there's also a great zombie attack scene with Andrea in the midst of everything.”
4. Rick Decides To Shoot Down Strangers
"The Walking Dead is filled with intense character interaction scenes, but the moment where Rick is forced to kill these two strangers who only comes across as enemies in the last minute had me at the edge of my seat from the share suspense and tension"
5. Sofia Is Revealed To Be A Walker
"One of those classic moments where you yell at the screen in pure shock and rage realizing how much these characters completely wasted their time searching for someone who was right underneath their noses the entire time...as a walker"
6. Rick & Shane's Final Confrontation
"Watching these two finally confront each other in a life and death situation was a moment viewers knew would come eventually, but no one could prepare themselves for the amazingly directed and intense character drama that took place "
"This is still by far the greatest character debut scene in the entire series thus far from the mysterious visual element of the two chained walkers in the background and the badass sword wielding presence of Michonne"

8. Rick's Rescue Squad Fights Through Woodbury
"A pretty action packed shootout scene showing Rick's team surviving through Woodbury on a daring rescue mission"
9. The Governor's First Attack On Prison
"Another well done shootout scene involving Rick's people fending off the Governor's forces"
Season 4
10. The Governor's Final Attack On Prison
"From the moment the Governor executes Hershel, all hell breaks loose in one of the most epic battle scenes in the entire series"
11. Rick Brutally Kills The Marauders
"This was the moment where Rick became the most savage and unforgiving killing machine on the show. I was literally cheering in my seat"

12. Rick Threatens Gareth During Executions
"There's nothing action packed here per say, but we do get to see a really badass and fearless Rick threatening to kill Gareth with a specific machete, who on the surface, can easily execute him and his crew at any given moment"
13. Terminus Escape
"Right alongside the prison invasion scene, watching Rick and his crew escape Terminus in a chaotic battle against cannibals and hordes of walkers was an amazing spectacle that truly raised the bar for the action scenes on the show"
14. Rick Kills Gareth With Machete
"What makes this scene such a badass and unforgettable moment isn't just the fact that Rick brutally and mercilessly kills Gareth with a machete after making him beg for forgiveness, but the fact that he previously threatened Gareth with that specific machete while being set up for execution"
15. Zombie Herd Battle In The Woods
"From the smoky red lit atmosphere of the car lights, to the sight of endless hordes of walkers popping out of the woods, and with a classic shot of the full moon looming through the trees, this was the first time that the show has ever truly presented itself as a genuinely scary zombie horror series in my opinion"
16. Rick Finally Kills Pete Leading To Morgan's Arrival
"There isn't much to say about this scene except for the fact that we get to see Rick finally murder a very much hated character leading into a highly anticipated reunion"

17. The Wolves Invade Alexandria
"This was an invasion that I was very much looking forward to being that I've been really fascinated by the mystery of these branded bandits. However, I think Carol completely steals the scene with her swift and badass transition into becoming a disguised stealth assassin"
18. Alexandria Battles The Herd
"From the moment Daryl sets the entire street on fire luring the walkers into a fiery demise, this amazingly epic and adrenaline pumping soundtrack kicks in leading into several shots of Alexandria residents slashing and bashing their way through waves of distracted Walkers"
19. The Infiltration of Negan's Base
"The Walking Dead is no stranger to amazing shootout battle scenes, but there was something specifically striking about this intense and highly suspenseful infiltration scene that felt ripped right out of an awesome 80's post apocalyptic thriller"
20. Negan Punishes One of Rick's People
"With over an entire year of anticipation for this character to finally show up on the show, it took me a while to fully digest and appreciate his entire debut after watching it multiple times and balancing expectations. However, the moment that won me over right away was seeing Negan punish one of Rick's crew which is shown in a brutal POV shot from the victim's perspective."
Season 7
21. Negan Nonchalantly Reacts To Rick Before Dragging Him Away
"This is by far one of my favorite villain moments on The Walking Dead as it not only shows the new season villain being unconcerned about our heroes, but also the fact that we've seen Rick being a total badass threatening others for the past few seasons only to be completely subdued with ease here."
22. Negan Brutally Kills Both Abraham & Glenn
"It's been a long time since a character death scene left me shaken up and speechless during and after the scene took place. This is definitely one of those moments that perfectly showcases to the audience just why Negan is one to genuinely fear moving forward."
23. Negan Psychologically Overpowers Rick
"The Season 7 premiere has done an amazing job at showing us why Negan is a villain that should not be underestimated whatsoever. This was the moment that profoundly sent that message across as we see Rick practically crying and begging for mercy emphasizing just how powerful this character's intimidation tactics are."
Season 9
24. Rick Sacrifices Himself To Destroy The Bridge
"The entire episode involving Rick's struggle to stay alive while flashing back to past characters for encouragement masterfully builds up to what is by far the most dramatically epic heroic sacrifice on the show. The powerful emotional weight behind this scene is felt especially when Daryl and Michonne witnesses his supposed death in a massive explosion. Rick's final words ‘I found them’ pulls on all the heart strings."

Season 3
1. The Team Attempts To Clear The Prison
"One of The Walking Dead's excellent zombie slaying scenes that perfectly balances out how badass our heroes are while also showing the terrifying presence of a Walker herd. Also, as icing on the cake, armored zombies are spotlighted given a video game boss battle feel to the scene."
Season 4
2. The Team Fights Through A Herd After Being Trapped
"Ah yes, now this is The Walking Dead in its prime. An intense situation showing our team of heroes in a life threatening predicament barely fighting through a cluster of walkers in a badass and epic fashion. Somewhere along the way, someone's working through some emotional issues."
Season 7
3. Rick Vs. Spike Armored Walker
"The Walking Dead is a series filled to the brim with zombie characters due to its core premise, yet it's pretty rare that we get what I'd consider to be variety in the undead enemy visuals. Fortunately, the spike armed zombie battle was one for the books as it introduced a spectacle of a zombie design that looked like something straight out of Hellraiser pushing forward the entertainment value of the scene."
4. Negan Threatens To Kill Carl In Order To Break Rick
"Negan made a huge impression on me presenting one of the best villain introductions on a show during the Season 7 premiere. However, the only time this season ever came close to such an incredibly directed villain scene is in its finale where Negan threatens to repeat his terrifyingly dangerous method of taking a specific life to conquer an entire group."
Season 9
5. Heads On Pike Execution Reveal
"One of the most visually haunting and suspenseful scenes on the show depicting multiple character deaths while also delivering a dramatic gut punch to the victim reveals."
